Women for Justice and Equality (WOJE) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Assistant Manager to join our program team in Juba. WOJE is a legally registered National NGO dedicated to advocating for the rights of women and girls in marginalized communities across South Sudan.

BACKGROUND

Women for Justice and Equality (WOJE) is an advocacy organization working towards strengthening and advocating for the rights of women in the marginalized communities in the republic of South Sudan, WOJE focuses on protection of women and girls, policy advocacy, Economic Empowerment, Education, WASH, FSL and hoping to grow into vibrant advocacy movement for the rights of women and girls across Africa in future. The organization is legally registered as a National Non-Governmental Organization with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission of the Republic of South Sudan under the Reg. No 1972.


PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

WOJE is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Program Assistant Manager to join its program team. The Program Assistant Manager will support the effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of WOJE’s programs. The role involves ensuring program activities align with the organization's goals, enhancing community engagement, and contributing to resource mobilization efforts through proposal development and donor engagement.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Planning and Implementation:

  • Assist the Program Manager in developing and implementing detailed project work plans and budgets.
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of program activities to ensure they are on track and meet set objectives.
  • Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL):

  • Support the collection and analysis of data for project monitoring and evaluation.
  • Assist in preparing high-quality weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports for donors and internal stakeholders.
  • Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices from program implementation.

Administrative and Logistics Support:

  • Handle administrative tasks related to program implementation, including organizing meetings and managing project documentation.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely procurement and delivery of project supplies.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.


REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Gender Studies, Public Health, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in program management or support, preferably with an NGO.
  • Strong understanding of gender issues and women’s rights in South Sudan.
  • Proven experience in project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (both written and spoken); knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
