Welcome to Women for Justice and Equality (WOJE), where our passion and commitment to creating positive change in South Sudan drives everything we do. With over five years of experience, we have been at the forefront of advocating for policy change, promoting social justice, empowering women economically, and combating gender-based violence.
Our programmatic experience and expertise are vast, ranging from protecting women and girls against sexual gender-based violence to advocating for the ratification of the Maputo protocol.
We also focus on sexual reproductive health rights, HIV prevention, and FGM prevention through awareness creation and community engagement. Additionally, we monitor the implementation of the CEDAW and promote the full implementation of the SDGs, particularly SDG 5, which focuses on women’s economic empowerment.
We are proud of our achievements, such as providing humanitarian support to affected communities, implementing hygiene campaigns, and carrying out HIV prevention projects.
We have also made significant strides in women’s economic empowerment, policy advocacy, and the prevention of female genital mutilation and gender-based violence in communities.
At WOJE, we believe in the power of community mobilization and the importance of standing up for women’s rights. Our success record speaks for itself, as we have championed family law advocacy, anti-female genital mutilation efforts, and humanitarian responses in flood and conflict-affected areas.
Join us in our exciting journey as we continue to make a difference in the lives of women and girls in South Sudan. Together, we can create a more just society.
