Our organization is involved in numerous projects

  • WOJE is currently implementing a three years GBV project funded by CES Empowering community capacity to prevent, mitigate risks and respond to gender-based violence (GBV) in Western Bahargazal State(WBGS)
  • Culture Programs/alternative Learning program
  • WOJE is also Implementing a two years peacebuilding project in partnership with SAFERWORLD and funding from UNBPF to strengthen the capacity of women and girls including community leaders in a bid to improve their confidence 

ZABIB MUSA LORO

 

Founder / Executive Director

Zabib is a gender equality and Human Rights Activist with over 10 years of professional experience in advocacy and program coordination/ implementation, with an extensive experience in organisational development, programming, Monitoring and evaluation, Social Accountability, Social Justice and Human Rights.  Ms. Zabib’s voice continues to shape policies and practices that promote gender equality and sustainable peace in the communities of South Sudan.
Ms. Loro previously held several leadership positions and representations at the national and regional including former chairperson of the East African National Network of Health Service Organizations (EANNASO), chairperson of the Network of Aids Service Organizations on South Sudan (NASOSS),coordinator for the Civil society security sector reform network and member of the Women technical working group for public finance management and Co-initiator of the Local Response Pool Fund and currently the

Ms. Zabib is a very instrumental figure in enhancing women’s and girls’ participation in GBV prevention activities, policy-making, and leadership roles. Her work has spanned critical areas including gender-based violence prevention, economic empowerment for women, and the integration of gender perspectives in disaster management and development strategies.

 

YIKA MARINA MOGGA
PROFILe

I am currently working as GBV Manager at Women for Justice and Equality (WOJE) in Juba. In this position, my role involves developing and managing program work plans and budgets for the activities. I provide technical support to the support team to develop annual budgets and procurement plans for the program activities. I conduct and facilitate training on Inter-agency GBV Case management, Communities Care, GBV Pocket Guide to the non-GBV sector staff. Over the past three years, I have gained experience in the field of GBV program development and proposal writing, implementation, monitoring and delivery of quality results. I work closely with women and girls in the communities in my day-to-day work which has enabled me to easily understand the needs of the women and girls and design tailored activities to provide solutions to their problems. I also advocate for the needs of women and girls on the different platforms .
