Finding My Voice: Koleta's Journey to Empowerment

Koleta Aziza, a resident of Gurei, North Block One, shares her transformative experience at the WOJE women- and girl-friendly space. "One of the best things I have gained from this space is learning English and how to express myself confidently," Koleta explains with a bright smile. "I have also learned numbers, my age, and many other essential skills that I never had the opportunity to learn before."

The WOJE women- and girl-friendly space has become a sanctuary for Koleta and many other women in her community. "Before coming here, I was very shy and couldn't even introduce myself properly," she admits. "Now, I can confidently speak in front of others and share my thoughts without fear."

The impact of this transformation extends beyond just language skills. Koleta has become a role model in her community, encouraging other young women to join the program. "I tell my friends about the wonderful things we learn here," she says. "Many of them have joined, and together we are breaking barriers and changing perceptions about what women can achieve."
