WOJE on the Ground: Standing with Newly Arrived Sudanese Refugees in Uganda 🤝
The Women of Justice and Equality (WOJE) team recently visited the camp of newly arrived Sudanese refugees in Bweyale, adjacent to the Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement in Uganda.
During this meaningful engagement, we had the privilege of meeting with cluster leaders, including the Chairperson representing the 17 clusters, as well as dedicated women leaders from the community. Together, we held open and insightful discussions on the most urgent needs facing refugee families and explored practical ways we can collaborate to provide meaningful and sustainable support.
These conversations mark the beginning of an important partnership rooted in listening, collaboration, dignity, and shared humanity. WOJE remains committed to standing alongside refugee women and families, amplifying their voices, and supporting community-led solutions that foster protection, resilience, and hope.
More updates will follow as we continue this journey of solidarity and action. 💙
